Norman Harrison, president of the Nuclear Institute, welcomed 750 people from more than 50 nuclear establishments to the 64th Annual Dinner of NI NW Branch, held at The Point, Lancashire County Cricket Club.
Guest of honour and keynote speaker was Kevin McCullough, Chairman of Horizon Nuclear Power and celebrity speaker was TV personality John Sergeant.
After dinner Barbara Smith was awarded a certificate making her an Honorary Fellow of the Nuclear Industry in recognition of the work she has done and awards were also given to prize-winning graduates.
