About the competition

In association with Land Rover

WIN £5,000

Join Lancashire Life in our search for the Great British Photograph by showing us your favourite photographs taken in the beautiful county of Lancashire.
Not only will you have the chance to win £5,000, you will also have the chance to have your photographs seen in Lancashire Life, which is published by Archant Life and in Photography Monthly magazine.
It’s an opportunity not to be missed!

This is a photographic competition that is open to everyone and all areas of photography. The only categories are the names of the counties themselves.

You can enter photographs you have taken of landscapes, people, events, objects or buildings, in fact, anything or anybody that you feel sums up the spirit of a particular county at any time of the year. You can also enter as many images as you like by simply uploading them below.

Each county and the Greater London area will have an overall winning image and commended images chosen by Photography Monthly editor Grant Scott and the Lancashire Life editor Roger Borrell. The winning images from each area will then go forward to a national final to be judged by a panel of professional judges to decide the overall winning photograph — the Great British Photograph.

It’s easy and fun to enter so why not  upload your photographs to the form below and help Lancashire win the Great British Photograph competition.

Competition Closing Date: 12.00pm GMT 30th September 2010

Image Specifications: Only digital JPEGS should be entered.

How come the county results have been announced in Photography monthly, yet there is no county winner for Lancashire? Yorkshire is absent too.

OK, very annoyed with this competition and the way it was ran.
My shot "Walney Reflections" which came runner up in the regional comp was supposedly guaranteed to go into the final 10 shortlist, instead they chose a different photo of mine, which I believe wasnt even in the running to start with, so Ive completely wasted my time and effort entering, rest assured I wont be entering any more photos into these farcical competitions.
Pathetic Lancashire Life, get a grip.

Have to aggree with you whoever you are, it is great to see such a large collection of outstanding photos.
But a sshame the way the comp has been ran, my images don't even appear in the entries for each """"county"""".
they seem to have judged the categories as per what publications they have not counties as they stated they would.
It would have been better to either have categorised the areas as their publications, or if North East Life covers 3 counties to have one shortlist for each county as they said they would.
I wonder how Land Rover feel about all this. If they know
